Recently the rumourmill has started to work with full speed again and all those 3 strikers are supposedly possibilities:
Llorente as first choice, but he will be not cheap. Yet he is more suitable "plan B" guy for us if we compare him to Ibra, Llorente is much more of a team player, experienced with playing with half of our squad in Spanish National side, he is fast, has good technique, strong and with good head-play. At the age of 27, he probably will have his best years for next 2-3 years.
van Persie is the second choice, nothing much has to be said about him, probably the best striker outside Messi/Ronaldo in the world for last year, scores from impossible positions and is used to flowing attacking football of Arsenal. As he will enter last year of his contract, he will probably be cheaper than Llorente. Just imagining the front 3 of Villa/van Persie/Messi is gonna make me drool. He is also a bit different type of player and a really good free-kick scorer. At the age of 28, he still has at least 2-3 good years ahead of him, then again, apart from last season, he has been really injury-prone.
Drogba could be the Larsson of this year. His contract will end summer and we could get him for free. He is strong, powerful and as this season has shown, still in top shape and really one of the best holders of ball in world football. Never doubted his passion for his team or his work-effort. He is a known diver though, would hurt our reputation in that department. He is also 34 and probably could be a choice for a year or so, definitely on the twilight of his career. Out of mentioned 3, he would be probably the most willing to fill the super-sub role, considering we have already Messi, Villa, Sanchez, Pedro, Afellay and upcoming Tello and Cuenca as contenders for striker positions.
So who would you like to see, the most expensive but youngest choice of Llorente, van Persie or Drogba.
