Other team that I like are Linkoping. As a matter a fact they are playing Frolunda today. Now Frolunda was very good in the past years but I see Linkoping as a second favourite for the championship this season. They managed to keep thier squad together.

Although its an ˝obvious˝ pick- from Swedish hockey today I like Farjestad.

Farjestad-Lulea 4:3 FT

Linkoping-Frolunda 5-2 FT

Nice cash won today. If you played both you could triple your money.

NHL season started the other night. My Canucks are 2-0 so far, and the Sedins are starting right where they left off. When I was 11 I got my picture taken with them at the Draft in Boston, and their agent gave me an address to send the pic to. A few weeks later, I got it back autographed from both of them. Great players, great people.
Now Belletti, the substitute...Larsson, who brings so much experience and know-how to the cause...Belletti...oh it's in!

It alwasy feels like they are still young upcomers but they are old now. They never really made it but every season start they seem to start off good.

I havent followed NHL much lately.

Have they chnaged the format to a swedish now, with Regular time - SD - shoot outs if there is no winner?

How is with red line offside?

There's no more two line pass, so the game is more open. And both Sedins had big years last year. Theyve been steadily improving and I think this year they both finish high on the scoring charts.

I liked to watch them when they played in Modo in Sweden. They have a speciall grace in the way they play, it looks so easy for them alwasy finding each other wihtout any stressing.

What do you think about Mattias Öhlund?

Agreed about the Sedins. I love Ohlund! I've been a big fan of his ever since his rookie year, when the Canucks were not doing well at all and he was one of the lone bright spots. I'm convinced he's one of the most underrated defensemen in the league. That might change this year...there was a lot of turnover on the Canucks' defense so he might start seeing some power play time and start getting some well-deserved attention. But I love the way he hits and I love his positioning and effectiveness...I have never seen him get beat one-on-one or in front of the net.

He is a good player but what I really hate him for is his lack of concentration in some situations. He makes really simple mistakes in crucial situations, especially in the last minutes of games.

A big fan of the NHL, such a great game. Have always had a soft spot for Pittsburgh, Mario is a legend :prayer: I've always regretted not having gone to see him play.

Have seen a couple of games, one in Boston and one in Montreal. Stopped watching the games over here though as it meant getting next to no sleep.

Yzerman was amazing in his early days. I liked Denis Savard, a real whirlwind with his spinning moves all the times. I always liked Jeremy Roenick.

Im a montreal supporter but the nice thing with NHL is that you more support players then the teams. Its so many teams i support and like to watch because they have fun players or play nice hockey. Who didnt like to wach Flyers with the legion of doom?

I havent seen many games altely since I cant get them here but i downloaded a game last year actually. I read about Ottawa and they said that they played one of the best hockeys in years so i wanted to see some of it.

Ottawa cost me some cash week ago in a home game vs Toronto. Many surprise results so far.

How long you been a fan? Been 13 yrs since their last Stanley Cup victory. A yr less than when i last got to see the Penguins lift it :?

My fave players were Lemieux and Jagr, what a pair they were. It's just a shame that they spent money they never had, and it all started to fall apart.

Im from sweden. Its the biggest sport in Sweden.
Football is not seen as an important sport as Hockey.

I grew up with hockey, where I lived every body played and everybody followed the hockey. We played on the streets every day. I never followed football, it was a small boring sport, watching football was like taking valium.

Basically been a fan of icehockey as long as I can remember. NHL been tougher though since when i was small you never showed any NHL and you could only read some small things about it. Even though Edmonton you know about and especially Börje Salming.

My first real memory of NHL was the death of Pelle Lindberg, sweden never had a true great goalie since then. Henrik Lundqvist is really good though, he wont get to the same standards yet but give him some years and he might turn into a great golie.

In the late 80s beginning of the 90s a lot of Swedish player started to go over and then the interest in Europe for NHL started. When Peter Forsberg went over 94 the whole media chnaged with much more coverage every day and they hired in famous NHL journalists etc. They started airing games on the telly and ofcourse the whole public interest grows then.

I loved the EA Sporst NHL 92/93 game. It was better then todays versions. I have played the NHL games so much its amazing. I used to know the name and number of more or less every player in NHL, thats many hundreds.

Lemieux is the best player ever so its hard not to like him but Jagr I have never liked. THe only reason he got that good stats is because he played with Lemieux. When he went to Captitals he was a joke even though the second year he was much better but still far from the 160p a season he could do with lemieux.

Pittsburgh was managed by idiots. The kiss of Lemieux destroyed the club. THe journalists started to call it that. It was when a player was put in the same line as Jagr and Lemiuex and he played really well making a lot of points he got sold immediately. Näslund was amazing in that line scored beautifull goals every week but was then sold to Canucks where he eventually became the best player in the league.

Pittsburgh was all about Lemieux and Jagr. Kasparaitis was a big star but since he was a defender he was accepted. When "Robocop" Samuelsson was sold to Rangers it was pretty obvious they are selling the team out and just want to keep Lemiuex and Jagr.
