besides his capture wuld weaken a squad that has become too strong(lamps is better than ballack)and he can add a different range to our advanced midfield position just like MVB but in a better and more sound way

Do you mean motta or eddy both have hade a relatively good seson motta can be great if he stops getting injured as for eddy yeah he has been great this season but he has become old and I wouldn't like a scnerario where we lost several players for free because of contract expiration with two DM and marquez and MVB/lamps who can play in this position why not cash on him while it is time and his value is high and I dont mean the upcoming seson but the one after so as to clear any doubts

jose is a smart guy, he knows what makes his team click and won't sell to a rival. also 25million for a player not needed doesnt constitute good business.

Like no way. Nor Lampard nor Gerard are players in the style of Barcelona. They are fine players, but they are not what Barcelona is looking for. Our midfield is already excellent. And so is our attacking force. We just need an extra attacker.
And plz Barcelona, don't go and get the English players... They aren't technically good, and that is basic for La Liga...

If Gerrard, Rooney, Lamptart and Joe Cole aren't examples of players with fine technique I'm not sure who is.

Beckham has been superb in LaLiga and Michael Owen scored plenty of goals, so you cant simply say, "dont buy english players".

Im not saying barca should sign english players though, but to be honest, nationality only matters if it is EU or Non-EU due to restrictions! Does it matter if they are english, italian or japanese? NO! As long as they are good enough.

Its absolute bull to say english players have poor technique, Joe Cole, Wayne Rooney, David Beckham, Rio Ferdinand, Ashley Cole, Lamps and Gerrard all have great technique and thats just the players i can think of.

People moan about Gerrards technique but just look at his range of passing to see his technique is superb and his 1st touch is top draw aswell. The same goes for lampard.

If barca were to sign Lampard or Gerrard i would question the need for midfielders but they would only improve the squad. If MVB was replaced by either it would be a great addition but that wont happen so not really worth talking about!

One english player barca should sign though is arguably the best left back in the world, Ashley Cole!

True our midfield is way beyond excellence but look at games like villareal or chelsea our midfield did a tremendous job in containing the adversary and formed a wall with motta and eddy in the mix, well if you compare motta with xavi or iniesta then I dont think any barca with 0.1 common sense would chose motta over any of them and I wont but do you really think we might have the same effect I dont tink so
