+1, cant see pep letting him in the dressing room, if he arrives and pep breaks him then makes him, turns him into a real pro, he could be amazing, tons of talent.

I was previously horrified by the idea of him coming to Barcelona. But I thought his play was great in the WC and he seemed more humble and and focused than he did for Madrid and Manchester City. I don't think he would be a bad transfer at all if we can get him for a discount price. Pep has the huevos to deal with his personality and he would sooner park him on the bench than let him break the unity in the squad. Maybe he learned his lesson by being shipped back to Brasil.

Apparently we're to send Keirrison to Santos + a bag of money to sign the Brazilian Wizkid.

I'd take THAT any day. (depending on the size of the moneybag obviously)

I hope that goes through! He's amazing on FM 2010.

I'm not so sure that Pep will stick around either. He's said he doesn't want to coach forever and if he feels like he is not being supported the way he would like to be supported by the president, I wouldn't be surprised to see him leave. How else can you explain his desire to "keep his options open" and his reluctance to sign a long-term contract?

This is what happens when you win everything your first year...everything after for that club pales in comparison.

I could see Pep moving on for new challenges...
I'll give you a memorable quote after you pass me that beer and shot.

Pep won't leave! He still didn't assume the responsability for Eto'o! He won't do that in the cases of Yaya etc! Everything's presented like it's the president's fault! But when it will be really Rosell's fault Pep will leave!

I believe they expanded the Designated Player option to two per club. I could be wrong, but I know that was in discussions prior to the start of the season. But NY already have Juan Pablo Angel and now Henry. If he does come to the MLS, I bet Marquez signs with a team with a strong Mexican following like Houston, Dallas, or LA. I read that he was considering going back to play in Mexico though.

yea i also heard marquez was thinkin about retiring in mexico after a season or 2... but who knows... gonna hafta wait and find out how it all plays out !
