Real Madrid's Karanka unhappy with refereeing decisions in Valencia draw: 80,000 people saw what happened
The assistant to Jose Mourinho has no doubt that his side were held back by the referee, while stressing that the players remain keen to win the domestic league crown

The Spanish capital club had two penalty claims waved away by the referee for fouls on Cristiano Ronaldo as they were unable to beat Valencia goalkeeper Guaita, who was the man of the match.

"The refereeing? 80,000 people saw we were persecuted, did they not?," Karanka told reporters at a press conference.

"Because if we say it, then it all kicks off. Everybody saw it."

Madrid are now only four points clear at the top of the Liga table, after Barcelona defeated Zaragoza 4-1 on Saturday, but Karanka says that his side are as determined to win La Liga as ever.

"We are calm because we are four points above Barcelona," Karanka said. "I know the atmosphere in the dressing room and we are calm.

"We are thinking about our next match and we have players who are eager to continue to fight to win La Liga."

Los Blancos will take on Atletico Madrid at the Vicente Calderon on Wednesday in their upcoming Liga fixture.

Yeah refs always at fault when it don't go Madrid's way.

The ref did a great job and at least he had the cojones not to be biased and fall for the dirty diving from Madrid players.

Pathetico Madrid once again bottle it. Di Maria and Pepe 2 biggest divers ever and the ref falls for every single Madrid dive.

Patetico is useless, I wasn't expecting dropped points by Scums, I predicted 3-0 for them.

The only game that RM can drop points except of GD is Granada away game. Athletic doesn't care about La Liga games, they are concentrated on EL semis, Madrid will win that game. We may drop points vs Levante and Rayo away. I don't have a hope for La Liga. If we lose the League by 1 point, there will be whole summer of 'if only...', 'refs' bla bla so it better not happen.

matfcb, you're so wrong on this! Bilbao will get points from RM, and here's why:
1. Bilbao is basque and tripping them from this Liga run is like they are winning it. They hate them as much as we do.
2. Pep+Bielsa=bromance ... don't think Bielsa won't try to help us, his future team, and his buddy Pep
3. San Mames ffs

RM won't drop points only there, mark my words. After El Clasico, they'll be at 1pt difference so the pressure will be on them constantly and we all know they don't cope well under pressure,

Atletico actually put a good fight until somewhat middle of second half, especially second goal from Ronaldo was really good one and broke the spirit.
In the end they didnt try anymore. They really need better defenders, their midfield-attack are quite good.

What's up with that faggot showing off he's leg every time he scores? He must score one of those screamers from every 20 attempts. He as to do those shots because he cannot take on defenders like Messi.

It's going to be a fun Saturday though. RM are playing Gijon from 19:00GMT and we are playing Levante from 21:00 GMT. The fun part is that Gijon won last night against Levante with 3-2. Gijon is in an amazing form while Levante isn't. This might be another chance and I had a feeling about Gijon the whole week. I'm not putting my money on them but a surprise might occur.

Thats the only thing that I think we have to fear when we play them , one of his clumsy long shots flying into the top corner !!
