Hello everyone

Postby vitty » Thu Jun 07, 2012 3:10 pm

I'm in the process of seting up a new website - visitnoucamp.co.uk

It's aimed at UK-based football fans travelling to Barcelona home games.

It will contain guides to
1. Working out fixtures
2. Buying tickets
3. Getting to Barcelona
4. Getting from the airports
5. Booking hotel
6. Getting to the stadium
7. Nou Camp tour
8. What do in Barcelona

If you can provide any helpful information, feel free to PM me, post here or in my other thread in the travel section, or email me at visitnoucamp@hotmail.co.uk

Thanks Emilfu.

As you know, it's not quite that simple.

Say I book a trip now to watch Barca - how do I know the match isn't going to get moved for TV? You can't guarantee the match day/time until 10 days before unless it's before a CL game.

And then there are diffrent rules for cup games.

Ticket wise - you can get them from four or five (licenced) companies and you can also buy hotel and ticket packages from travel companies.

People here have problems with the Spanish ticketmaster as they often require a Spanish ID number.

In my experience of running two successful football travel websites, people want to know all the available ways of getting into the city and to the stadium...and there are three seperate airports. to contend with, plus car hire etc.

I hope you'll be a bit less cynical once you see the finished product up and running :)

Wait, you run "two successful football travel websites"? Then why do you need infos from us? I mean, come on, it's supposed that you already know your game by now. This is an English speaking supporters forum, as it's said in the banner from the header, so, aren't we supposed to be your target? I've worked a lot in marketing and I have to say that this is probably the most redundant move I've ever seen. You're expecting us to come to your website to find some infos and instead of something new and useful, we'll find the exact infos that we gave you. If Emilfu was cynical, then he has every right to be! Sorry to say, but I don't think you have any idea of what you're doing.

I think you've misunderstood the original point of my post, Magus.

I wasn't coming on here saying 'Hi guys, I've come up with a website idea - and I want you to write all the content'.

I was aiming to say 'I am taking care of 99 per cent of the content, but if there are any useful bits of information that would complement that, feel free to add'.

Listing the content subjects was supposed to give people an indication of what is going on the site - not to ask them to write everything for them.

I appreciate your feedback and I'll to be clearer in future.
